Light for Living began as a writing ministry of Pastor Gary Click while pastoring the Calvary Baptist Church in Clinton, IN. His articles were published in the local newspaper, The Daily Clintonian. They were also distributed to email subscribers and several were posted on this website. Shortly after assuming the pastorate of the Fremont Baptist Temple, Fremont, OH, he was approached by Pastor James Lewis and chief operator, Brian Benedict about providing a two thirty-minute Radio Programs for the weekend. (WHVT 90.5 fm) At this point, Pastor Click's writing ministry transformed into a radio ministry. Due to time constrains, the weekly devotional gave way to the radio ministry. However, these devotionals are still available online through the Light for Living Archives. Pastor Click is still active in writing bible studies, dramas and devotional articles for other applications. We hope to make those resources available soon. Click here to learn more about becoming a Christian. Listen to the "Light for Living" broadcast live on whvtfm.com Saturdays and Sundays at 4:00 pm.

Where Do Babies Go? This is one of the most intimate, meaningful questions I
have ever been asked. Mothers and fathers have often found themselves in search
of answers after the loss of a little child. They want to know if the baby is in
heaven. While this is a touchy subject and there are diverse views, I believe
that there is hope for these parents. There are those who would disagree with my position. They
argue that we are all conceived in sin (Psalm 51:5) and that sin must be
accounted for. (Romans 6:23) They also note that faith in Jesus is the only way
to be saved (John 14:6) and that God is not obligated to save them. While there
is truth in these statements, I believe that they have misapplied these facts. The first reason that I believe all babies go to heaven is
because it is God’s expressed desire. Luke 19:10 tells us that Jesus came “to
seek and to save” the lost. In 2 Peter 3:9 we learn that God is “not
willing that any should perish.” These verses alone do not prove my point,
but they do reveal God’s heart desire. It is His desire that these little ones
be with Him. A careful study of faith verses unbelief reveals that
disbelief is a conscious act. It is not simply the lack of knowledge or
understanding. Unbelief takes place when one has access to the truth but does
not accept it. Hebrews 3:12 admonishes us “Take heed, brethren, lest there
be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.”
This chapter concludes by demonstrating the fate of unbelievers. “So we see
that they could not enter in because of unbelief.” The Greek word use here
is apostia from which we get the word apostacy. Other words that we find
associated with unbelief are rejection and denial. They all imply an act of the
will to refuse the truth. I understand that I must be careful in this area. Some may
ask, “What about adults who have never heard?” Romans 1:16-35, makes it
clear that they are responsible for the light that they have however little it
may be. In other words mankind can look at any part of creation and recognize
that there is a Creator. It becomes man’s obligation to seek that Creator. God
will reveal Himself to all who seek Him in sincerity and truth. Obviously, an infant or an unborn child does not have even
that smallest amount of revealed truth to respond to. They are incapable or
disbelief, rejection or denial. Therefore they are not condemned for unbelief.
They are incapable of holding the truth in unrighteousness. (Romans 1:18)
Therefore it is impossible for them to become the objects of God’s wrath. Finally, we see hope through a man who suffered loss
himself, David. When his newborn son died, David said, “I shall go to him,
but he shall not return to me.” (2 Samuel 12:23). David was secure in the
knowledge that he would see the child again in the presence of the Lord. You are the
