A Brief History of Light for Living. Light for Living began as a writing ministry of Pastor Gary Click while pastoring the Calvary Baptist Church in Clinton, IN. His articles were published in the local newspaper, The Daily Clintonian. They were also distributed to email subscribers and several were posted on this website. Shortly after assuming the pastorate of the Fremont Baptist Temple, Fremont, OH, he was approached by Pastor James Lewis and chief operator, Brian Benedict about providing a two thirty-minute Radio Programs for the weekend. (WHVT 90.5 fm) At this point, Pastor Click's writing ministry transformed into a radio ministry. Due to time constrains, the weekly devotional gave way to the radio ministry. However, these devotionals are still available online through the Light for Living Archives. Pastor Click is still active in writing bible studies, dramas and devotional articles for other applications. We hope to make those resources available soon. Click here to learn more about becoming a Christian. Listen to the "Light for Living" broadcast live on whvtfm.com Saturdays and Sundays at 4:00 pm.

Indecision 2000
What a mess! Millions of people expected to awake on Wednesday, November 8 and know who the next president of the United States would be. More than a week later we still don’t know. Supporters of both candidates are anxious and furious! "We want our man in office!" People take to the streets in protest, while others write letters to the editor and yet others take time to call in to radio and television programs. There is an unquestionable sense of excitement and anticipation over who will be the next president of this great country. I don’t wish to minimize the importance of this event, yet I feel that I must tell you that there is a more important decision that is left undecided day after day. More important than "who will be president of the United States?" is the question "who will be the Lord of your life?" Elijah stood before his people and rebuked them for their indecision. "How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word." 1 Kings 18:21. George Bush and Al Gore have gained an unprecedented amount of attention across the world during the last week. Yet, regardless of who wins, he will only hold his office for four to eight years. He will not end world hunger. He will not create world peace. He will not solve the problems of the world. Jesus, on the other hand, can bring peace to your soul and feed your hungry heart. He is the answer to all problems. His throne is forever. "Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations." Psalms 145:13. It seems to me that the easiest choice in the world would be to choose Jesus. Yet day after day people remain in indecision. Its just as if they held the ballot in their hands and were afraid to punch the card. One thing is certain: Jesus knows how you cast your ballot. There are no "hanging chads" in heaven. "Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his." 2 Timothy 2:19. Have you decided on Jesus? While the rest of the world frets over who the next president will be, wont you take the time to make a choice that will last. Choose Jesus. Don’t linger in indecision. Accept Him as your Savior today and make Him the King of your heart. That is a decision that will last and bring eternal rewards. You are the |
