A Brief History of Light for Living. Light for Living began as a writing ministry of Pastor Gary Click while pastoring the Calvary Baptist Church in Clinton, IN. His articles were published in the local newspaper, The Daily Clintonian. They were also distributed to email subscribers and several were posted on this website. Shortly after assuming the pastorate of the Fremont Baptist Temple, Fremont, OH, he was approached by Pastor James Lewis and chief operator, Brian Benedict about providing a two thirty-minute Radio Programs for the weekend. (WHVT 90.5 fm) At this point, Pastor Click's writing ministry transformed into a radio ministry. Due to time constrains, the weekly devotional gave way to the radio ministry. However, these devotionals are still available online through the Light for Living Archives. Pastor Click is still active in writing bible studies, dramas and devotional articles for other applications. We hope to make those resources available soon. Click here to learn more about becoming a Christian. Listen to the "Light for Living" broadcast live on whvtfm.com Saturdays and Sundays at 4:00 pm.

God is not Mocked "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." (Galatians 6:7)God is the Author of poetic justice. His word says that you reap what you sow. As we watched the news this last week, we have seen God's word fulfilled. Chemical Ali met his fate with a violent end. He sowed violence and died in violence. You have heard it said, "They that live by the sword shall die by the sword." This is reaping what you sow. Saddam Hussein's exact status is not known. He may be dead or he may be wounded. If he is neither, he most certainly is cowering in the same fear that he has imposed on so many others. He is reaping what he has sown. I know of no one that will shed a tear over either of these men. In fact, most people will rejoice in their demise. We do so, not because of a lust for violence, but because the blood of their victims cries out for justice. We celebrate their destruction because by their brutal deeds they have separated themselves from all humanity. While our natural tendency is to rejoice when others receive "their just rewards," let us keep in mind that this verse and the principle contained in it apply to you and me as well. It is not just for the brutal dictator but also for the everyday man and woman. You and I will reap what we sow. Let us also take the time to understand this principle in its entire context. It serves not only as a warning to the wicked but also as a reward to the righteous. Notice verses 8 and 9. "For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." While reaping what you sow can be frightening when we choose to do wrong, it also serves a great invitation to do right. Hebrews 11:6 teaches us that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. The Law of Sowing and Reaping can be a blessing or a curse. It just depends on what kind of seeds you are sowing. What is in your garden today? What have you planted that you are sure to harvest? Have you sown bitterness or betterness? Have you sown kindness or crudeness? Have you sown righteousness or rebellion? You have the freedom to sow as you please. But for every seed that is sown there will be fruit to be harvested. Listen to Solomon's admonition. "Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment." (Ecclesiastes 11:9) God has granted us the individual soul liberty to make our own choices, BUT, Solomon says, we must give an account for every choice we make. May all your choices be wise. You are the
